Tweak your room a little bit and get your own comfortable and cozy bedroom. Factors like wall color, accents, lighting leave a big impact in the whole look of your room and also decides your overall mood. I am here to give you some easy tips on how to convert your space in cozy environment. You would not like to leave your room again, I bet.
Wall Color
Warm colors like yellows, oranges, red and earthy tones are perfect to lend a cozy and friendly look to a room. As I said, wall colors control your feelings and the colors can cherish you up or make you feel low. It works like that!!
Go for wall colors like white, beige or light brown so that you can bright paintings in the room making them look obvious. Plus, such colors give a spacious look to the room whereas black or dark colors give a smaller look.
Test the colors first before getting them. Paint chips are available to check whether the color will look fine in the room so get them and test out the colors.
Sticking onto one color is not a good idea. I mean if you like orange color then checking out the shades of orange will be good as it will give you a clearer idea of which color will suit best. A shade may not work well for one room but looks perfect for another room. So be experimental!!
Avoid painting the whole wall in one go. Rather paint on a board with your chosen shade to get a better idea of the color. You can paint a pot as well to get an idea of how the color looks. Once when you get satisfied, only then buy that color.
If you have tried 3-4 colors then I would suggest waiting for 2-3 days to check which color looks the best in the day and night time. Some colors look gracious in natural light while some go perfect in dark. Then depending on how a particular color looks like at various points in the day, make a note. Usually, the colors show their true tint in natural tint.
Be experimental with colors. If you like orange or golden color that doesn’t look appealing in the whole room, you can paint one single wall.
It’s a myth that dark colors make a space cozy. So you need not go for dark colors definitely.
Sources of Light
Light sources create a nice ambience and so are welcoming. Add some new lighting if you have been seeing the same piece of light source since years. Try different areas to place that lighting unless you don’t feel “just right”.
It’s nice having a floor lamp and a table lamp in your room to give it a cozy feeling. Choose lamps with dimmer to adjust the amount of lighting at various points of the day and night. Light sources next to the bed are good to shed ambient lighting thus improving the overall glory of your room.
Place candles around the room to look creative. But if you are not sure of flame candles, consider adding battery operated candles.
Well, this one is my favorite of all. Pendant lights look so beautiful in the room and give a cozy feel. The whole room looks just stunningly gorgeous. Or you can also install wall sconces to get warm and indirect lighting. An inviting source of light!!
Accents
Explore accents!! Just adding accents to your room can make it look welcoming as well as cozy. To add accents, you don’t need to worry about money as they can be bought in cheap prices as well. Your purpose is to lend a cozy feel so price doesn’t matters.
Do you have hardwood floors? Yeah? Add beautiful rugs next to your bed. Look for some deep pile rugs that are comfortable and cozy to your feet.

Add an interesting appeal with colorful pillows or cushions throughout the room. Tie them together to create a nice pattern in your room thus focusing on their coordination, in particular. Don’t make mess!!
Go mirrored!! Add mirrors in the room to get bright and spacious look.
Decorations
Themes are always good if nicely implemented. Go beachy by putting seashells or sort of such stuff in the room. Just head over to the market and buy shells or driftwood for your room. But keep it as simple as you can!!
Be artistic using your creative bent of mind. But make sure not to overdo it as you don’t want people to come in the room and feel crazy seeing so much of decorations all over. Rather keep it elegant and make them feel cozy.
