When shopping for down comforters, the most common mistake you can commit is with regards to the size. Most people end up buying a shorter comforter for their bed while others end up having comforters that were too long for their bed.
It’s important to know that comforter sizes should always be larger than your bed size. However, careless shopping may lead you to overlarge sizes. In order to help you avoid such circumstance, let me guide you in choosing the down comforter size that suits your bed best.

As per the table above, some of the bed sizes have the same bed amenity size even though they have different bed dimensions. This is due to the fact that I was not able to find an exact bedspread or blanket for these sizes. Unfortunately, there is no manufactured bedspread of blankets for these dimensions. You may rely on tailored blankets for such beds such as an 80” x 108” bedspread for the Super Single size waterbed. This is what I did after an endless search for the bedspread with this size. No need to worry, though, the sizes of bed amenities I used in the table will still give your bed that perfect look.
Feel free to come back here anytime as a reference for comforter sizes. Always remember that the size of each bed amenity may affect how your bed will look like. Hence, it’s important to look for the perfect down comforter size together with complimenting blankets and bedspreads.
