I make a lot of quilt blocks, I’m guessing that you do as well. There are moments however, when I want to make a block a distinctive size that I have the directions for. Changing the size of the block is not difficult to do, but the math can be a tiny difficult to have to determine out every single time I want to do it.
So … if I’m going to adjust the measurement of a quilt block, how do I figure out what the appropriate share is to get the size block I want? I have created a chart for that.
The math has currently been done – I’ve produced the chart below for enlarging and minimizing the dimension of our quilt blocks. This chart is the hottest addition to my Quilt Math collection of charts and guides – helping you with some of that troublesome math.
